Rev Gerald Vanderwert

Gerald has been senior pastor at Donvale since 1989. He obtained his theological degree through study at the Presbyterian Theological College in Melbourne. He is also a graduate of Melbourne Bible Institute where he completed a diploma in Theology.

He loves teaching the scriptures and enjoys ministering to all age groups. He also works as a Chaplain with Victoria Police, assigned to the Doncaster station. His recreational interests lie in cricket, football and jogging. He is married to Desma, and they have a daughter Janelle.

Clinton began work as an assistant minister at Donvale in 2008, after completing his training at the Presbyterian Theological College. He is married to Kirsti and they have three children. He has a background in biology and university student ministry, and is passionate about raising up leaders.

Clinton enjoys spending time with the family, walking, and watching movies and sport.

Rev Dr Anthony Bird

Tony, who is married to Carole, started at Donvale in 1998 and serves as part-time Pastoral Assistant. He is presently Lecturer in Biblical Studies at the Presbyterian Theological College.

He spent seven years with Overseas Missionary Fellowship from 1979 to 1986 before coming to Australia.

Tony has four adult children, enjoys running and is an insatiable reader.

Mr Jeremy Dover

Jeremy ministers as part-time youth pastor at Donvale. He completed his theology training at the Presbyterian Theological College. Jeremy comes to Donvale after a background in sport and exercise psychology. He has an interest in chaplaincy, including sports chaplaincy, for which he has been a member of the national body (SLM) since 1996.

He has research interests in Holy War.

He enjoys running with his wife Ruth, son Isaac and his red Kelpie dog.

Mrs Jacqui Spanos

Jacqui is our Women’s Pastoral Worker. She has a great passion for people and a desire to minister Christ’s love to them. She has been at Donvale and has been ministering here as a Deacon prior to her appointment. She comes from a nursing and health care background.

Jacqui’s role involves pastoral work among women and developing women’s ministry.
