Morning Services

Rev Gerald Vanderwert will preach on Haggai 2, “The Lord comes to us in
our discouragements”.
Sunday School runs concurrently with the 10.30 am service.

Easter Services 

  • Good Friday service (April 14) @ 9.30 am
  • Easter Sunday service (April 16) @ 9.30 am

There will be no evening service on Easter Sunday. Instead, you are encouraged to attend the meeting at Belgrave Heights Easter Convention. We meet for a picnic tea at 5 pm near the café at the auditorium followed by the meeting at 7 pm. Please invite your friends to join us for our Easter services. Invitation leaflets are available in the foyer.

Offering Envelopes

To assist in the regular giving to the “gospel ministries” of the church, envelopes for the months of April, May & June are now
available in the church foyer.

Easter Biscuit Bake

Wanted: 70,000 home-made biscuits for Victorian Prisoners. Please note:

  • biscuits are crisp and will not crumble
  • no nuts or peanut butter
  • biscuits must be sealed in disposable containers
  • all ingredients must be clearly listed on top of the container. 

Please place biscuits in box provided in the foyer by next Sunday March 26 morning. Please see the notice board for more details. Queries? See Chris.

Morning Services

Rev Gerald Vanderwert will commence a sermon series on the Prophet Haggai, “Chapter 1—Procrastinating on your priorities”.
We will celebrate the Lord’s Supper.

Sunday School

Runs concurrently with the 10.30 am service. 
Save the Date: Sunday March 26 (Sunday School Picnic). 
Next Sunday: Due to the long weekend, there will be no formal lessons but those who want to can come down to the Ministry Centre for a DVD. The children will still need to be signed in & out if they are coming.

Coming to Donvale these July school holidays!
Are you interested in being part of an outrageously fun team sharing God’s word with primary school kids? Will this be your first holiday club @ Donvale? We would love you to come and find out more...You will join a team of experienced people who will help you settle in! Come along to our first meeting TODAY in the ministry centre after the 10.30am service @ 12.30pm!

We need group leaders, camp grandparents & people to:

  • Co-ordinate & run craft & games activities
  • Write, direct, recruit actors for our holiday club play/drama
  • Help supervise children throughout the program
  • Make, bake and serve morning tea daily for leaders and children
  • Care for, talk with and connect with primary school children and their parents
  • Lead assembly with songs, etc

At the 10.30 am service, we extend a warm welcome to family and friends of Winnie who are here to witness her baptism. We rejoice with Winnie and pray that she will continue to grow in her faith and love for the Lord.

Sunday School is now in recess for the school holidays.

This is a Special Service with items from the pre-schoolers to Grade 3, Sunday School choir leading the carols, book presentation & Year 6 Graduation, and bible readings.

Cameron Griffiths will bring us God’s Word from Luke 2, “An unexpected Christmas”.

We thank the Sunday School for their magnificent efforts and enthusiasm, Liz (Sunday School Coordinator) and teachers. Pray for the children to know our Lord and to grow in love and faith.

DYG feasts this Friday

Praise God for providing helpers for the Portarlington Beach Mission. Pray for Ben & Jean as they lead a team. Pray for their preparations, and that many will be blessed through this ministry.

Touching the children of prisoners with the love of Christ at Christmas by
providing them with gifts. If you would like to be involved in this ministry, please place your gifts in the foyer by next Sunday Dec 4. Questions? See Chris.

The Scripture Union Beach Mission urgently requires people to join their team this summer between 27/12 – 5/1 at Portarlington. If you are available, or know someone who is, please speak to Ben or Jean asap. Please pray for helpers & preparations.
