The Word-Centred Church

A Five-Week Teaching Series

God builds and grows His church through His living Word. In this five-week series, we will see how the Word of God is the ordinary means that God uses to cause his church to grow.

Week 1 The Word Grows the Church

Acts 6:1–7

The church grows not through programs or personalities, but through the faithful ministry of God's Word. As the apostles devote themselves to prayer and the Word, God causes the church to grow out, grow up, and grow together.

Week 2 The Word Governs Our Worship

John 4:1-26

This passage reminds us that true worship is offered to God, through Christ, according to His Word, by the power and help of His Spirit

Week 3 The Word Forms Disciples

2 Timothy 3:14–17

Christian maturity is formed over time as God's Word teaches, corrects, and trains His people.

Week 4 The Word Shapes the Home

Deuteronomy 6:4–9

The home is the first school of discipleship. Before there were church buildings, God gave His people a command to impress His words upon their children within the home. We will explore how the Scriptures provide the framework for family life—guiding how we parent, how we handle conflict, and how we pass the faith to the next generation.

Week 5 The Word Advances God's Mission

Romans 10:14–17

God brings people to faith through the message of Christ. As the Word is proclaimed, God gathers His people and sends them into the world with confidence in His saving power.
