We warmly welcome David Proano, International Vice President of Open Air Campaigners who will bring us God's Word from Jeremiah 2,  ‘An Ordinary Joel!’, and also Rob George, International President of OAC Ministries who will share about their work in our Mission Spot. Please join us at 6.30 pm, and bring a plate to share for supper.

Mothers, you are warmly invited to “Be Our Guest” for our Mother’s Day celebrations after the Children’s Talk today at the Ministry Centre. We will have a group discussion on our favourite
go-to’ recipe before sharing a morning tea prepared by the children. We will finish at 12 pm. There will be no sign-in sheet as we hope all of our mothers/aunts/grandmas/caregivers will be joining us. See you there!

DPC Necessitous Circumstances Fund

The Church has recently had approval to set up of a fund to support those in necessitous
circumstances, i.e for the relief of people who are in serious financial need. The ATO has
approved this fund as a deductible gift recipient (DGR). Therefore donating to this new bank account (Donvale Presbyterian Church-Assistance Fund; BSB: 033-389; Account number: 313451) can be treated as tax deduction and all donations made will receive a receipt for tax purposes. For details on how to donate and to ensure you receive a tax receipt, speak to Iain, Reggie or Scott

Led Sign

The Board has given approval for a LED sign to replace the existing one, and this was made possible through a gift which covers this cost. The sign will enable us to highlight upcoming events in our church and/or place scripture texts on it. We thank Gary for initiating this new sign.

April 30

Robert Koh will bring us God’s Word from 2 Samuel 6, “How to receive the King”.

Sunday School - today at the Ministry Centre during the 10.30 am service.

Sunday School will now run throughout the term, with “non-curriculum” Sundays taking the place of “Family Service” Sundays. This means that we will no longer have every last Sunday of the month “off” but will instead have Sundays where there are no formal lessons. This new system will allow us to have a little bit more flexibility around long weekends and other events whilst providing families with the option of either sending their children out to Sunday School or keeping them in church (without missing any of the curriculum.)

Donvale Youth Group

Come along to DYG this term as we study the 10 Commandments in our small groups, and build relationships with everyone through fellowship and fun activities.

Easter Services 

  • Good Friday service (April 14) @ 9.30 am
  • Easter Sunday service (April 16) @ 9.30 am

There will be no evening service on Easter Sunday. Instead, you are encouraged to attend the meeting at Belgrave Heights Easter Convention. We meet for a picnic tea at 5 pm near the café at the auditorium followed by the meeting at 7 pm. Please invite your friends to join us for our Easter services. Invitation leaflets are available in the foyer.

Offering Envelopes

To assist in the regular giving to the “gospel ministries” of the church, envelopes for the months of April, May & June are now
available in the church foyer.

Easter Biscuit Bake

Wanted: 70,000 home-made biscuits for Victorian Prisoners. Please note:

  • biscuits are crisp and will not crumble
  • no nuts or peanut butter
  • biscuits must be sealed in disposable containers
  • all ingredients must be clearly listed on top of the container. 

Please place biscuits in box provided in the foyer by next Sunday March 26 morning. Please see the notice board for more details. Queries? See Chris.

Coming to Donvale these July school holidays!
Are you interested in being part of an outrageously fun team sharing God’s word with primary school kids? Will this be your first holiday club @ Donvale? We would love you to come and find out more...You will join a team of experienced people who will help you settle in! Come along to our first meeting TODAY in the ministry centre after the 10.30am service @ 12.30pm!

We need group leaders, camp grandparents & people to:

  • Co-ordinate & run craft & games activities
  • Write, direct, recruit actors for our holiday club play/drama
  • Help supervise children throughout the program
  • Make, bake and serve morning tea daily for leaders and children
  • Care for, talk with and connect with primary school children and their parents
  • Lead assembly with songs, etc
